I'm a website freelancer who's been creating websites for 15 years.
My fascination with technology began twenty years ago in grade school by copying BASIC programs from the back of 3-2-1 Contact magazines. This continued as a teenager in the nineties, as I watched the internet come into its own. The idea that I could have a virtual global presence was enchanting, and I spent much of high school learning HTML, Flash, design, and various server side languages. I studied computer science in university, then worked for a couple small firms after my studies -- before going freelance full-time more than 5 years ago.
Nowadays, I split my time between freelancing, creating sites like this and this, and building companies, as a part owner in companies like Noisetrade and Investimonials. I live in Brooklyn with my wife and two daughters.
This site is a vanity project. I certainly don't know as much as I should, and there are much better places to learn about the latest web technologies and proper usage of such. But I have my experience and my instincts, and perhaps these will help someone out there.
